    Fix

If a nation only has one broadcaster clicking Communication in the sidebar navigation will now take you directly to that broadcaster.

    Fix

We made a change to the donation tracking code search filter where it will search by looking at each signup with all of their donations as a whole rather than on a donation per donation basis. For example, if you run a filter for "Donation tracking code is not A" it will now exclude anyone who has any donation with tracking code A, even if they have other donations without tracking code A.

We also changed the label and field name from 'is' and 'is not' to 'has' and 'does not have a'.

    Fix

We updated our payment processor to have an additional field type during the setup process since not all of the customers using our payment processor are affiliated with business accounts.

    Fix

If you only have the permission to create and edit email, you will not be able to see the recipients view in the email stats because it contains sensitive information.

Added two new political parties for Australia: Christian Democratic Party, Y and Independents for Climate Action Now, M

  • Fixed the ordering of custom field exports

    Fix

We resolved an issue with the order of custom fields in exports. When exporting custom fields, it was previously expected that they would be ordered by their position within the control panel, however, when an export was made with custom fields, we discovered this ordering was not being taken into account. Now, the custom fields position in exports will match their original ordering within the control panel.

  • NationBuilder payments, banner messages updates, and fixes

    Update

Our integrated payment processor now supports GBP, AUD, EUR, NZ, SEK, NOK, DKK, and CHF! It only takes a few minutes to set up and allows you to process donations using Donation (v2) pages.

We have a new banner design for nation-wide alerts, as well as for networked nations posting banners to subnations.

    Update

We've updated the look of the button filter types so your selection stands out more.

    Fix

We fixed an issue where some paid-pause customers could not access their control panel.

  • New membership search filter

    New

We've added a search filter designed to help users with nations using multiple membership levels. You can now easily filter for “lapsed members” aka those who’ve had memberships expire, but who did not renew at a different membership level than before.

  • Billing system and text keyword autoresponse updates

    Update

We are implementing a new billing/invoicing/contract management system called Ordway and a few things will change on your end related to this integration. These changes will impact new NB customers who sign up starting 8.1.19 and will be rolled out for all users soon:

First, if you change anything about your plan mid-term (i.e. amount of phone numbers, text messaging tiers, billing interval, or plan type), the change takes effect immediately and we prorate the impact on the current term. For example, if you are 3 months into an Annual Leader plan and switch to Monthly Leader, we’ll keep your entire payment for the remaining 9 months as a balance and use it to pay down your new monthly invoices. Any upgrades will trigger an invoice the next day for the remainder of the partial period and if the change includes a billing interval change, the next billing date will change as well.

Second, we will allow you to add multiple people to receive billing-related emails so that NationBuilder billing will be easier for your organization. We have retained only allowing one person to be specified as the primary contact for software usage.

Third, phone number and text message plans are now managed in a new Add-ons tab under Settings for quicker access.

    Update

Due to new carrier (ATT/Verizon/Sprint/etc.) requirements, we now include the Broadcaster’s name in the JOIN/STOP text keyword autoresponses. Previously, we did not include any specific information about the broadcaster or nation in the confirmation messages for these. They now read:

JOIN: “Thanks for joining <Broadcaster Name> alerts! Msg frequency may vary, msg&data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel.”

STOP: “You are unsubscribed from <Broadcaster Name>. No more messages will be sent.”

  • Primary navigation updates, new increment buttons in filters, a subpage deletion update, and more

    Update

We received feedback about the primary navigation getting in the way of your work so we made some improvements:

    • If the primary navigation is collapsed, it will now remain closed if hovered over.
    • The expand/collapse icon at the bottom of the primary navigation will always be visible.
    • If the primary navigation is collapsed and you click on Website or Communication, it will expand the navigation and open the menu. If there is only one site or one broadcaster, clicking the icon when the navigation is collapsed will take you to that website or broadcaster.
    • We also added new tooltips to the collapsed primary navigation to show you exactly what each icon is.

    Update

We worked to improve the customer experience on smaller screen sizes. While the control panel is not optimized for mobile devices, we did make improvements that will make it more usable on them. The primary navigation now moves to the top of the screen when the screen size is below 768px. The navigation has also been optimized better for touch.

    Update

We've added new number increment buttons within filter criteria to allow for quicker adjustments.

    Update

You used to get redirected back to the main page listing once you deleted a subpage from a page, which was frustrating if you were trying to delete multiple subpages. Now, after you delete a subpage, you will stay on the same subpages listing.

    Update

We've updated tags so that the dismissal X is now further from the tag name to prevent accidental tag deletion. If you do delete a tag, a notification will now pop up at the bottom of the page to tell you which tag was deleted and allows you to undo the action.

    Fix

The page at Finances > Payouts was having trouble reloading when a dropdown selection was changed, this has been fixed.
